Reading the clock…
Tool 08 · Cash · For anyone with skin in the paper

The day each deal gives your money back.

Every car you finance has your own cash buried in it: what you paid for the unit, plus recon, minus the down. Industry benchmarks put that around $6,100 a car. The sale doesn't end that story, it starts a clock. This reads your book and shows when each deal returns your cash, which deals never will, and how much of your money is trapped right now in accounts that went quiet. For a lender, the same clock read on a borrower's book is a liquidity early warning.
